TOURS OPEN
TO KAYAKERS
AND CYCLISTS

Judy Keim has been gearing up her Pedal & Paddle business in Santa Barbara.

She now offers custom tours and equipment to small groups or individuals who enjoy bicycling or kayaking or those who want to try it.

Keim can accommodate people who want to bicycle one way and kayak back or those who want to do one or the other activity.

Tour times may span from a minimum of 2 hours to longer and they may be tailored to the skills and energy level of each individual.
Prices range for #38.00 per person for 2 hours to $58.00 per person for a half-day. This includes a kayak or bike, paddle, life jacket and helmet. Prices can be adjusted for those who have their own bikes or kayaks.

Keim said she can make arrangements for groups of up to 6 people.

Although all people who want to kayak must know how to swim and be in good health, the sport is
accessible to those with lower body disabilities, she said.

Descriptive services for people who are blind blind or have partial vision and sign language interpretation for the deaf and hearing impaired can be offered, if arrangements are made in advance.

Keim said the ages of her customers have ranged from 9 to 74.
One of the most unusual kayak trips requested so far, Keim said, was for a cat funeral at sea. The cat's owner and best friend paddled out to sea with the ashes, recited poems and tossed flowers.

"I was weeping", Keim said, "and I didn't even know this cat."
